I’m so annoyed with Best Buy right now. So I go to the one in Wilmington to return one of the DVD’s that I got Maya for Christmas (she already had a copy) and I was given such a hard time. They told me that I could only return 3 times without a receipt per year to Best Buy. So apparently when I returned the printer and print cartridges that I had received for Christmas that was my limit. That’s all I get for 2007. What BS! Come on people, they were presents. And it’s not like I’m ripping you guys off or anything, I’m only asking for store credit. But apparently that’s not to be. So to make a long story short I was given three options: (1) get someone in NY to send me a copy of the receipt (umm, yeah, not happening); (2) return it in NY with the receipt (again, defeats the point of bringing it down to NC with me in the first place; (3) have someone other then me return it (stupid, right?). Look, I’m sure that this policy is in place so people who would try to rip off places like Best Buy are stopped but for the rest of us it’s complete bullshit. I don’t think that this policy should count during the holidays since not everyone will be giving gift receipts with presents and its totally rude to ask for a receipt if you don’t like the gift. Be realistic people. So now I’m going to have to have my aunt or cousin go back to the damn store, stand on the return line, fill out the paperwork to return an item without a receipt and then shop for something else for that kid. It’s ridiculous. Ggggrrrrr.
