I was so bored last night at work. It was completely dead. Granted that could almost be considered a good thing but not when it’s the 3rd day in a row. Yesterday I ran some errands on my dinner break, one of which was stopping off a this wine place (thanks Alex for the suggestion!) to pick up some much needed refreshments. Wow, I actually found the wine from the vineyard on LI that I was looking for! Granted I’m now feeling the itch to go wine tasting again (maybe I’ll try to entice a certain cop to go with me this time…) if nothing else so I can go back to a vineyard or two and get the wine(s) that I can’t find in the local liquor stores.

So anyways, I get home from work last night and I think I was sleeping by 12:30am. Now, something like that only seems to happen if I’m either a) sick or b) have had nearly no sleep within the past 48 hours. The night before I know I had at the minimum 8 hours so I know that wasn’t the case, and I’m not sick (knock on wood). Weird. I’m not complaining mind you, I think that it’s a good thing but still, weird.

My fucking neck is still bothering me. Ok, this is freaking day 3 with the pain in the neck. It’s so much better then it was on Friday night but its still super annoying. I can at least move my head around much more with not nearly as much pain but the mystery still continues…. what the hell caused this? Last night I had the hot bag on my neck again and I hope that helped a little bit. I passed out rather quickly so I didn’t have the chance to put it on again after it had cooled off.

So tonight, it’s New Years Eve. I talked to Diane briefly last night and it seems that we will just be staying in. You know what, that’s 100% fine by me. I’m broke (story of my life, right?) and the idea of ordering in some pizza or eating some cookies or ice cream and just drinking and talking about whatever till the stroke of midnight sounds absolutely delightful to me. I’m also working weird hours today, like either from 1-7pm or 2-8pm, no dinner break mind you. I love Wendy, not many bosses would be so accommodating on certain holiday eves. Not only did I get Christmas Eve off but I’m getting out early on New Years Eve. Rock on.

So, here’s the part where I’d like to put in a summary of my year but it’s not even 8am yet so I’m going to think it over throughout the course of the day and get back to you all on it. Don’t worry, I’ll post before midnight lol.
